Kokrajhar College is a premier educational institution located at the heart of the town which is the head quarter of Kokrajhar District and the Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD) of Assam. It was established in the year 1959 with arts stream only. The science stream was opened in the year 1964 and was brought under deficit system in 1972. The college was taken over as a full fledged Govt. College on 22nd August 2006 and  rechristened in the name and style of Kokrajhar Govt. College.
