College has a central or
general library sinceits inception. Before the visit of last
NAAC peer team, the departments were separated and a
departmental library was set up in each department by
bringing some useful reference books required frequently for
teaching purpose. The books of this departmental libraries
are used by the teachers, and the students having Major in
the subject. Besides the books borrowed from the central
library , some departmental libraries received some extra
books through donation from some persons or institutions.
During the academic session 2006-07, 70 books with a steel
cabinet were donated by Mr. Sarat Chandra Bora, Retd.
teacher, Department of Economics & husband of Late Aroti
Borah, Ex-HoD, Physics as a mark of memory of his wife.
The libraray of Kokrajhar Govt. College has improved its
services like lending of books, internet services, readers
guidance, inter library loan, open access facilities and new
additions of books and journals.
The computerization of the college library by using the
software SOUL with aid of the fund sanctioned by the B.T.C.
authority is under progress.
One preservation Unit for Library materials having
facilities with a fumigation chamber exists in the library.
Library provides the facilities of open access , Book
Bank for Poor students, internet services, carrier
advancement service to the readers.
9 Journals and 823 books worth Rs. 1,28,000/-( Rupees One
Lacs Twenty Eight Thousands only) for different departments
have been purchased in the academic year 2006-07.
Library sets up linkage with INFLIBNET CENTRE through
internet.
